Rear loaders offer multiple loading options. They can be loaded manually by hand, lift residential containers using a cart tipper, or handle commercial waste containers with a winch mounted on the back. This flexibility makes them ideal for both residential and commercial waste collection.
Once waste is deposited into the hopper, hydraulically powered packer panels move down to scoop the trash into the truck’s main body. These panels compress the waste, enabling the Dongfeng rear loader to carry significantly more material than a non-compacting truck before needing to unload at a disposal facility.
Dongfeng front loader garbage trucks are primarily designed for collecting commercial waste. They feature two large hydraulic arms that extend from behind the cab, pass up and over the cab roof (ensuring the driver’s visibility and easy cab access), and extend forward to the forks. These forks fit into specially designed pockets on the sides of commercial waste containers. Once secured, the hydraulic system lifts the arms, raising the container up and over the cab so the garbage can drop through an opening at the top of the truck. Inside, a compaction system presses the waste toward the back, maximizing load capacity.
While commonly used for commercial collection, Dongfeng front loaders can also be adapted for residential waste collection by attaching an automated front loader system. This setup uses a container mounted on the forks, equipped with a grabber arm that picks up household trash bins and empties them into the container. Once the container is full, the hydraulic arms lift and tip it, transferring the waste into the top opening of the truck for compaction.
Dongfeng automated refuse trucks, commonly known as side loaders, are engineered to streamline waste collection through a side-mounted grabber arm equipped with a hydraulic lifting system. This design enables the truck to quickly and efficiently pick up trash containers without the operator ever leaving the cab. All functions are controlled via a joystick and control panel inside the truck, allowing a single operator to manage the entire process.
Automated side loaders are among the most popular garbage trucks in residential neighborhoods due to their speed, efficiency, and reduced labor requirements. Chances are, this is the type of Dongfeng garbage truck you see regularly servicing your community.
Dongfeng roll-off trucks are designed to deliver large waste containers to various locations as needed. Equipped with a tilting frame and a hydraulic hook or winch system, these trucks lower the container onto the ground, allowing it to be filled with up to approximately 170 trash bags’ worth of material. Once full, the truck returns, lifts the container back onto the frame, and transports it to the disposal site.
Roll-off containers are commonly used in home remodeling projects, construction sites, and other large-scale waste collection needs, offering a flexible and efficient solution for bulky debris.
Dongfeng split body trucks are uniquely designed with two separate compartments, giving the appearance that the truck is divided in half. This dual-compartment design allows the truck to collect and separate different types of materials that shouldn’t be mixed together. For example, one side can hold regular trash while the other collects recyclables, or the compartments can separate different recyclable materials such as glass and paper.
Split body trucks are available as either side loaders or rear loaders. For front loaders, a separator mechanism at the top of the truck directs waste into the appropriate compartment, making the process more complex. Rear loaders function similarly to standard models but feature two separate compartments for simultaneous collection.
